Abstract:

The advances in science and technology have made the development of the program work necessary in education. The achievement of the objective of the educational programs is possible through the teaching programs carried out within a specific hierarchy. In this study, the Department of Individual Skills Discernment Programme (BYFP) of the Science and Science Teaching Programme prepared in 2020 for special skilled students studying at the Science and Arts Center in Turkey (BILSEM) was studied according to the renewed Bloom Taksonomy. The study is based on the methods of document analysis. The study used the "document analysis" approach that documented the contents by interpreting the contents factually. With this approach, the covering meanings within the achievements in the curriculum have been identified and analyzed. The results were reviewed by two experts to determine what information size and the scale of the cognitive field is the renewed Bloom taxonomy. The analysis of the data found that the achievements in the information size of the renewed Bloom taxonomy were mainly concentrated in the categories of conceptual information (42.86) and supernatural information (37.14). Moreover, 57% of the achievements were focused on superior thinking in the levels of the cognitive field, while 43% were focused on lower thinking skills. This study is believed to contribute to the knowledge of the percentage of under-up thinking skills in the cognitive field in the BILSEM teaching programs and, if there is, to the improvement of the programs by removing the deficiencies in this subject. This situation, which differs from the results of other studies carried out in the educational institutions in literature, is recommended to be studied in the BILSEMs, which are other levels of learning except BYFP, the adaptation, support training, the development of special skills and the project management programs for the teaching programs in all branches.
