In this study, open-ended enquirer-inquiry laboratory approach activities based on problem based learning model were developed and the effects of these activities on the creativity skills of the preservice science teachers were investigated in the laboratory environment. In the study, a single group of experimental research design with pre-test/post-test and semi-experimental model was used. The study group consisted of 64 students who were third year -Pre-service Science Teacher. In the study, experimental activities developed by the researchers included in the "Problem Based Learning Laboratory Guide" were applied within the scope of "Science Instruction Laboratory Applications - II" during six weeks. Quantitative data were gathered through the "Creativity Scale" before and after the six week lecture period. The scale developed by Whetton and Cameron (2002) was translated into Turkish by Aksoy (2004) and validity and reliability studies were conducted. The results of the research revealed that the experimental activities carried out within open-ended enquirer-inquiry laboratory approach activities based on problem based learning model were effective in increasing creativity skills.
