by Cousinia Cass. The species is one of the largest species in the Asteraceae family and is represented by about 700 species. This study was conducted to contribute to the gender systematism by determining the anatomical and palinological characteristics of the Cousinia foliosa species within the Stenocephalae Bunge section. The polen micromorphological characteristics of the C. foliosa type have been studied and photographs of the type have been given. In the anatomical study of this species, photographs were given by identifying the characteristics of the body, leaves and middle veins. For anatomical studies, the parts of the plant were buried in the paraffin and the safranin fast green painting method was applied for the painting process of the tissues. From the anatomical characters, it is determined that the number of transmission sets in the middle vein is 8 and that the form of the middle vein is important in the distinction of the species. The light microscope was used for Palinological studies and the pollen form was detected as subprolate. With the SEM microscope, the photographs of the surface decorations of the pollen is taken and the pollen is determined to be verrucose.
