Günümüzde denetimde rotasyon uygulamasının, denetçi bağımsızlığı ve denetim kalitesini etkilediği yönündeki çeşitli çalışmalar denetimde rotasyon uygulamasını tartışmalı bir hale getirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, bağımsız denetçilerin algılarına göre denetimde zorunlu rotasyonun denetçi bağımsızlığı ve denetim kalitesine etkisi ve rotasyon ile denetim kalitesi arasındaki ilişkide denetçi bağımsızlığının aracı rolünü tespit etmektir. Bu doğrultuda Kamu Gözetim Kurumu tarafından yetkilendirilen bağımsız denetim firmalarında çalışan denetçilere anket formu uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 paket programı ile analiz edilerek ortaya çıkan sonuçlar istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Denetçilerin algılarından elde edilen sonuçlara göre denetimde rotasyonun denetçi bağımsızlığı ve denetim kalitesini olumlu yönde etkilediği ve rotasyon ile denetim kalitesi arasında denetçi bağımsızlığının aracılık etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Today, various studies on the fact that the application of rotation in audit affects the independentity of the auditor and the quality of the audit have made the application of rotation in audit controversial. The aim of this study is to identify the role of the auditor's independence in the relationship between the auditor's independence and the impact of compulsory rotation in audit and the instrumental role of the auditor's independence in the relationship between the rotation and the quality of audit. In this regard, the survey form was applied to auditors working in independent audit companies authorized by the Public Supervisory Authority. The results resulting from the SPSS 22.0 package program were analyzed statistically. According to the results obtained from the perceptions of the auditors, it has been found that the rotation in the audit positively affects the auditor's independence and the quality of the audit and that the auditor's independence between the rotation and the quality of the audit has a mediation effect.
