Çizgi Romanla Fen Bilimleri Öğretiminin Öğrenci Başarısına Etkisi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, çizgi romanla fen bilimleri öğretiminin öğrenci akademik başarısına olan etkisinin araştırılmasını amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışma grubunu, altıncı sınıfta öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 60 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı deneysel desen kullanılarak yürütülmüştür. Deney grubu öğrencilerine pixton uygulamasıyla oluşturulan çizgi romanlar kullanılarak fen öğretimi kontrol grubunda ise ders kitabındaki etkinliklere bağlı kalınarak mevcut fen öğretimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, veri toplama aracı olarak akademik başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, pixton uygulamasıyla oluşturulan çizgi romanlarla desteklenmiş fen öğretiminin geleneksel fen öğretimine kıyasla daha başarılı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fen bilimleri öğretimi sürecinde eğiticiler tarafından çizgi romanlardan etkin bir biçimde kullanılabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of science teaching with comics on student academic achievement. The study consists of a total of 60 students in the 6th grade. The research was carried out using a quasi-experimental design that is one of the quantitative research methods. Teaching science to the experimental group students using comics created with the pixton application; In the control group, current science teaching was carried out by the activities in the textbook. In the study, an academic achievement test was used as a data collection tool. According to the results obtained in the research, it has been determined that science teaching supported by comics created with the pixton application is more successful than traditional science teaching. It has been also concluded that comics can be used effectively by educators in the process of teaching science.
