In this study, it has been observed that the fertilizer amounts to be acquired from Isparta province’s animal (cattle, ovine and poultry) waste can be availed of in biogas production and the consequent energy can contribute to the in-greenhouse heating costs. The numbers of cattle, ovine and poultry have been taken from the Statistical Institute of Turkey and animal waste amounts have been calculated accordingly. It has been calculated that as of 2017, there were a total of 133654 cattle, 418653 ovine and 392946 poultry present in total in the province of Isparta. According to this data, the amount of possible net fertilizer amounts have been calculated as 320769.60 tons/year in cattle, 195371.40 tons/year in ovine and 5763.21 tons/year in poultry. And based on the net fertilizer amounts, the total biogas production has been calculated as 22366468.22 m3/year, and the possible energy equivalent correspondence to be achieved has been achieved as 105122400.65 kWh (378440.64 GJ). It is anticipated that by converting the animal waste in Isparta province into energy through a biogas facility would facilitate a reduction in in-greenhouse heating costs. In conclusion, it has been calculated that in case the animal waste in Isparta province is included in biogas production, it will be possible to heat an area of 3109.51 decares of a greenhouse, at a fixed 10 0C greenhouse temperature and 14 hours/day heating duration during a 120 days plant cultivation period.
