Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı sağlık yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin HPV enfeksiyonu ve HPV aşısı ile ilgili bilgi ve görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı tiptedir. Araştırmaya 2017-2018 Eğitim-Öğretim Yılı Bahar Dönemi’nde Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Aydın Sağlık Yüksekokulu Hemşirelik, Ebelik ve Beslenme-Diyetetik bölümlerinin 3. ve 4. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 287 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veriler, kurumdan araştırma izni alındıktan sonra literatüre göre hazırlanan soru formu ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya alınan öğrencilerden sözlü onam alınmıştır. Sonuçlar %95’lik güven aralığında, p<0.05 anlamlılık düzeyinde, tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ki-kare testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Katılımcıların %79,4’ü kadın, yaş ortalaması 21,82±1,50’dir. Öğrencilerin %58,5’i hemşirelik bölümünde ve %56,7’si dördüncü sınıfta okumaktadır. Çoğunlukla (%38,3) ilçede yaşayan öğrencilerin anneleri (%64,5) ve babaları (%50,2) ilköğretim mezunudur. Çalışmadaki öğrencilerin %92,7’sinin HPV’yi daha önce duyduğu belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların %53’ü HPV’nin cinsel aktif herkesi etkilediğini ve %53,7’si tedavisi olduğunu belirtmiştir. Öğrenciler HPV’nin genital siğillere (%59,2) ve serviks kanserine (%47,4) neden olduğunu ifade etmiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %75,6’sının HPV aşısını daha önce duyduğu görülmüştür. Katılımcılar çoğunlukla HPV aşısının ne zaman yapılması gerektiğini (%36,2), kaç doz uygulanması gerektiğini (%67,6), aşı fiyatını (%88,2) ve devletin aşıyı karşılama durumunu (%81,9) bilmemektedir. Araştırmada yer alan öğrencilerden yalnızca birinin aşı yaptırdığı görülmüştür. Beslenme-diyetetik bölümü öğrencilerinin sorulara doğru cevap verme oranlarının daha düşük olduğu saptanmıştır (p˂0.05). Sonuç: Öğrencilerin HPV ve HPV aşısı hakkındaki bilgilerinin istenilen düzeyde olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu nedenle öğrencilere konu hakkında yeterli bilgilendirme yapılması önerilir.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine knowledge and views of students in school of health high about HPV infection and HPV vaccine. Method: Research is a describing study. In 2017-2018 Academic Year Spring Semester, 287 students studying 3rd and 4th degrees of nursing, midwifery and nutrition-dietetics departments of Adnan Menderes University Aydın School of Helath High participated in the study. Data has been collected by questionnaire prepared according to literature after obtaining permission from the institution. Verbal consents have been obtained from the students. Results have been evaluated by using descriptive statistics and Chi-Square test in 95% confidence interval and p <0.05 significance level. Results: Of participants 79.4% are female and overall average age is 21.82 ± 1.50. Of the students 58,5% are in nursing department and 56,7% of them are in fourth grade. The majority of mothers (64,5%) and fathers (50,2%) are primary school graduates. It has been determined that 92.7% of students in the study had previously heard of HPV. Of participants 53% have said that HPV affects everyone who is sexually active and 53.7% have said that HPV infection has treatment. Students have stated that HPV is caused by genital warts (59.2%) and cervical cancer (47.4%). It is seen that 75.6% of students who participated in the study had heard of HPV vaccine before. Participants mostly don't know when HPV vaccine should be performed (36.2%), how many doses should be administered (67.6%), vaccine price (88.2%) and the state's payment status for vaccination (81.9%). It is seen that only one student who involved in the research had been vaccinated. It has been determined that students of the nutrition-dietetics department have lower rates of correct answers to the questions. by 05.05 . Conclusion: It is seen that students' knowledge about HPV and HPV vaccine is not at the desired level. For this reason, it is recommended that students are not informed enough about the subject.
