Abstract:

The rapid development of today’s technology has made the use of computers and the internet compulsory for individuals. One of the areas where technology is widely used is the field of education. In this context, compliance with technology in the universities that come to the top of the higher education institutions is parallel to the success of the university. The aim of this study is to measure the attitudes of the staff of the University of Kafkas towards the use of technology. In this context, 311 university employees have been requested. The research data was collected through the personal information form and obtained through the SPSS 21 Statistical Package Program. The form of personal information consists of statements of attitude, perceptible utility, and easy-to-use scales, along with demographic characteristics. The perceptible benefits and easy-to-use elements studied in the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model have been studied in particular in the work. According to this, there has been a meaningful relationship between the attitudes of university employees towards the use of technology and their views on the perceptible benefit and ease of use of computer/internet technologies. In addition, in terms of demographic characteristics, there was no significant difference between the attitudes of university employees to the use of technology according to their gender, diploma, academic degree and work status. However, there was a significant difference between the age of the university staff, the age in the profession and the attitude points towards the use of technology depending on the unit in which they work. However, a significant difference has been found between the age, academic degree, career and scale scores in relation to computer/internet technologies perceived and easy to use, depending on the age, academic degree, career and the unit in which they work.
