Abstract:

This study examines the covered consequences of social exclusion, based on the social exclusion problems experienced by asylum seekers. The data obtained through the qualitative method and document review were analyzed with descriptive content analysis. The studies were evaluated in terms of method, purpose, sample, data collection techniques, data analysis and findings and presented in tables. This study attemps to answer the questions such as how social exclusion is experienced in terms of asylum seekers; in which areas does social exclusion concentrate and what are the potential consequences of social exclusion. Most of the scientific studies analyzed have found that asylum seekers experience social exclusion, but the potential consequences of social exclusion have not been adequately evaluated. While the subject of social cohesion is included in most of the scientific studies analyzed, processes such as ethnic stratification, social segregation and spatial segregation have not been adequately examined.
