In this study, the plasma spray method researched the microbuilding, stretching and corrosion characteristics of the Ti3SiC2 MAX phase coating produced on AISI 304 stainless steel. Ti and SiC powder are used as the starting material to produce the Ti3SiC2 phase. The powder mixture obtained after adding a weight of 35 SiC to the Ti powder is covered on the bottom layer with atmospheric-controlled plasma spray pistol. For the study of the microbuilding and phase formation of the cover, an optical microscope, an scanned electron microscope and XRD were used. Microwave reviews have shown that the coating microwave has a lamelled structure. According to XRD analysis, the Ti3SiC2 MAX phase was detected in the coating layer. Microsessures are measured along a line from the coating layer to the bottom layer. The coating and coating characteristics of the submaterial are identified by the coating test. The coating rate of the coating layer is low according to the sub-material. The corrosion characteristics of the submaterial and cover are determined by potentiodynamic measurements in the 3.5 % NaCl solution. Corrosion results showed that the coating layer has a corrosion resistance of 3.5 times the lower material.
