Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the misapplications encountered in environmental aspects in sports events in nature in terms of sustainability approach. In order to the purpose of the study, a visual scan method has been used with the analysis of the situation in terms of scope and method. The increased demand for sports activities in nature creates an increased pressure on the natural environment and leads to significant environmental problems at micro and macro levels. The adoption of sustainability approach in natural areas and the preservation of the natural environment requires comprehensive planning and proper management of resources in the planned area. When assessed in terms of sustainability, it is clear that sports activities in nature require more specific approaches. As a result, while the aim of the adoption of a sustainability approach in the performance of sports activities in nature is not to be neglected that environmental sustainability also covers the form of education, culture and behavior.
