Introduction: The child perception scale (CPQ) is an indicator of the quality of life related to the child's oral health. CPQ8-10 is a version of the scale developed for children aged 8-10 years. The aim of this study is to adapt CPQ 8-10 to the Turkish and evaluate its psychometric characteristics in the pediatric clinic. Method: The English translation of CPQ8-10 was applied to 194 children aged 8-10 years. The understanding of the scale adapted to Turkish by translation-back method was determined by a preliminary study in which 14 children participated. Two weeks after the first tests, 39 patients were tested again. The internal consistency of the measurement and test-up and test reliability were determined using Cronbach alpha and class-in-class correlation ratio (SKK). The structure validity of the measurement was assessed by the Spearman correlations. Results: Small cultural changes were made during the translation processes into Turkish. The internal consistency of the measurement showed high reliability with the Cronbach's Alfa 0.888 level of clinically acceptable reliability and the test-up test reliability with the SKK 0.841 level. It also recorded a statistically significant positive correlation between structural validity, Turkish CPQ 8-10 with the total score of oral health assessment (r = 0.547 and p < 0.001) and the impact of oral health on quality of life (r = 0.627 and p < 0.001). The Turkish CPQ 8-10 is reliable and valid for use in children who apply to a pediatric clinic in the age group of 8-10 years. CPQ8-10 applies to children aged 8-10 years.The aim of this study was to prepare a Turkish version of the CPQ8-10 and to test its psychometric properties in pedodontics patient simple. Materials And Methods: One hundred and ninety-four children participated in the study. The questionnaire was adapted to Turkish using a forward backward translation method, and it was found to be understandable in a pilot study (14). The Turkish version of the CPQ8-10 was administered to children aged 8-10 years. Retests were conducted in 39 patients 2 weeks after the first tests. Internal consistency was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) were calculated to assess test-retest reliability. Construct validity was evaluated by Spearman's correlation. Results: During the translation into Turkish, culturally minor changes were made. In the Turkish version of CPQ8-10, internal consistency, Cronbach's alpha 0.888, clinically acceptable reliability and test-retest reliability showed high reliability with ICC 0.841 values. The construct validity was acceptable with a statistically significant correlation between the scores of the Turkish-CPQ8-10 and the evaluation of oral health (r = 0.547 and p < 0.001) and its impact on oral health quality of life (r = 0.627 and p < 0.001). Conclusion: The Turkish-CPQ8-10 is reliable and valid for use with the children of this age group in pedodontics clinic. Keyword: quality of life; oral health; children
