El sanatları insanoğlunun her türlü ihtiyacını gidermek amacıyla meydana getirilmiş ve geliştirilmiş estetik değerleri olan ürünlerdir. Türk el sanatlarının gelişiminde etken olan altın ve gümüş madenlerinin yanında bakır da gerek saray gerekse halk sanatlarının meydana gelmesinde önemli rol oynamıştır. Kolay işlenebilir, kızıl kahve renkli, doğada dere yataklarında rastlanan, okside olabilen bakır’ın kullanım alanı çok yaygındır. Maden sanatının gelişmesinde son derece etkili olan bakır, Anadolu’nun her yerinde asırlarca önemini korumakla birlikte günümüzde eski değerini kaybetmiştir. Bugün yok olma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya olan bakır eşyaların gelecek nesillere aktarılması açısından geçmiş örneklerin değerlendirilmesi önemlidir. Araştırmaya konu oluşturan Safranbolu Kent Müzesi’nde yer alan İzzet Mehmet Paşa’ya ait vakfedilmiş bakır mutfak eşyalarından üç güğüm, bir tek kulplu ve bir çift kulplu bakır maşrapa sergidedir. On dokuz çift kulplu, dört tek kulplu maşrapa, On güğüm depo da yer almaktadır. İzzet Mehmet Paşa görev yaptığı süre zarfında birçok hayır eseri yaptırmış, vakıflar kurmuş ve hazırlattığı vakfiyelerle bunları kayıt altına aldırmıştır. Kent müzesinde yer alan bakır eşyalarda mevlitlerde kullanılmak için vakfedilmiş, kayıt altında bulunan günümüze kadar varlığını sürdürmüş el sanatları ürünleridir.

Copper, as well as gold and silver mines which are factors in the development of Turkish handicrafts, played an important role in the formation of both palace and folk arts. Copper which can be processed easily, red brown color, found in stream beds in nature, oxidized is widely used. Copper, which was extremely effective in the development of mining art, has preserved its importance for centuries all over Anatolia but has lost its former value today. Copper items that are in danger of extinction today is important to evaluate past examples in order to transfer them to future generations. Copper kitchenware that is the subject of the research belonging to İzzet Mehmet Pasha contains 3 copper bottles and tankards with single handle and double handle are exhibited in safranbolu museum. Tankards with 19 double handle and 4 single handle and 10 copper bottles are in museum store. Izzet Mehmet Pasha made many charity works , foundations established and registered them with the foundations he prepared during his duty. These are handicraft products that have existed until today; these handcraft products was devoted to be used in mevleutes in copper items in the city museum,
