In this work the criteria for the valid readings (qirâât) are studied and the process of addition for the principle “tevâtur” to these criterions is examined. Also the idea that defines all the known popular readings, which are appeared in the later process, as mutawatir readings “(mütevâtir qirâât=reported reading)”, is also criticized. From this point of view, the view of the Imamiyya group of the Shia on the readings/Qiraat, which is the most crowded Islamic sects after the Sunnies, was studied, and their critiques and reviews were also analyzed. Also, there is no any stated Shiah Reader (Qari) who became famous with the readings in history. But Shia had stated that some of that “imams of Qiraat/reading” were member of the school of the family of the Prophet Muhammad (Ahl al-Beyt), and took courses from the Shia Imams. They also became “Shia” in Reading, by accepting only the narration of Hafs on Imam Asım (Qari). In this article all the discussions of Imamiyya on readings will not deeply analyzed, only the issue of mutawatir readings will be considered and compared with the Ahl al-Sunnah.
