EXAMINATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS' SENSITIVITIES AND OPINIONS ON CULTURAL HERITAGE

Abstract This research, which was conducted examine primary school students' sensitivities and opinions on cultural heritage, was carried out with a mixed method. The study group, determined by the convenience sampling method, consists of 227 primary school 3rd and 4th grade students primary schools in Yozgat. The data of the research were collected with the "Cultural Heritage Sensitivity Scale" developed by Halaç, Gürdoğan-Bayır and Çengelci-Köse (2021) and the "Open Ended Questionnaire Form" developed by researcher. SPSS program was used in the analysis of the quantitative data, and the descriptive analysis technique was used in the analysis of the qualitative data. As a result of the research; It was concluded that primary school 3rd and 4th grade students' sensitivity cultural heritage was at the level of "totally agree". It was found that the students' sensitivity to cultural heritage showed a significant difference in favor of female students according to the gender variable, but did not show a significant difference according to the class and family type variable. In addition, it was concluded that while the students' sensitivity to cultural heritage did not show a significant difference according to the mother's education level variable, it showed a significant difference according to the father's education level variable. It was found that the students expressed their opinions on both tangible and intangible cultural heritage elements in their opinions on cultural heritage.
