Abstract:

INTRODUCTION: Metal parts or metal endings of removable partial dentures become visible especially during smile and this condition constitutes a major disadvantage for partial edentulous patients with high esthetic expectations. Precision attachments are used as direct retainer transmitting less stress to abutments and they provide better esthetics compared to classic clasp of a removable partial denture. CASE REPORT: This clinical report describes application of combined denture with resilient precision attachment Rk-1, newly introduced for mandibular bilateral free-ended partial edentulism. CONCLUSION: Combined denture was prepared using a resilient precision attachment considering the expectations of the patient. The patient was followed up for one year without any complications.
