Abstract The approach to the problem of integration has been elucidated for the most part in the field of economics and international politics. This is due to the importance of national states as main macroeconomic and political agents in the field of international relations. The significance of the borders and the various institutional frameworks within the jurisdiction of each State constitute the basis for interstate relations and the search to establish an international institutional framework has led to the establishment of the so-called integration agreements, as one of its most used instruments.
