İmâm Mâlik’in Muvatta’sı İmâm Buhârî’nin Sahîh’inin önemli kaynaklarından biridir. Buhârî eserinde Mâlik’ten 696 rivâyet aktarmıştır. Bu rivâyetlerin yaklaşık %84’ü, Abdullâh b. Yûsuf et-Tinnîsî, İsmâîl b. Ebû Üveys ve Abdullah b. Mesleme tarikiyle nakledilmiştir. Buhârî’nin Mâlik’ten rivâyette ilk tercihi Mâlik’in talebesi Abdullâh b. Yûsuf et-Tinnîsî’dir. Buhârî’nin Tinnîsî’den rivâyetleri Mâlik’ten naklettiği toplam rivâyetin yaklaşık %43’ünü oluşturmaktadır. Buhârî, Mâlik’ten hem talebeleri, hem talebelerinin talebeleri hem de talebelerinin talebelerinin talebeleri vasıtasıyla hadis nakletmekle birlikte doğrudan onun talebelerinden aldığı rivâyetler, Mâlik’ten aktardığı rivâyetlerin yaklaşık %94’ünü oluşturmaktadır. Buhârî’nin Mâlik’ten rivâyetleri Muvatta’nın Leysî, Şeybânî, Zührî, Ka’nebî, Hadesânî, Abdurrahmân b. Kâsım, Abdullâh b. Vehb ve Ali b. Ziyâd rivâyetlerinde araştırıldığında 35 tanesi hariç kalanının bu nüshalarda yer aldığı görülmüştür. Buhârî’nin Mâlik’ten rivâyetlerinin çoğu Yahyâ b. Yahyâ el-Leysî rivâyetinde yer almaktadır.

Muwaṭṭa of Imām Mālik is one of the important sources of the Sahīh of Imām Bukhārī. Bukhārī narrated 696 narrations from Mālik. About %84 of these narratives was transferred from Abdullāh b. Bukhārī narratives from him constitute approximately %43 of the total narratives from Mālik. Bukhārī narrated hadiths from Mālik through his students, students of his students and students of his students, but Bukhārī’s narrations from Mālik his direct students are about %94 of the total narratives from Mālik. Narrations of Bukhārī from Mālik when searched in the Muwaṭṭa's narrations, it was observed that the remaining 35 of them were included in these narrations. Most of the narrations of Bukhārī from Mālik are located in narration of al-Laysī.
