Abstract:

The participation of women in the working life is of great importance in terms of individual benefits as well as sustainable economic growth and social development. But women are faced with many problems in almost every field, primarily in their working life; they are subjected to discrimination in areas such as access to opportunities, enjoyment of rights, recruitment and rise. At this point, social protection is seen as one of the most important policy tools in the prevention of social exclusion of disadvantaged groups, such as women; it is of great importance for women to ensure social gender equality and equal opportunities and to improve negative conditions. This study, which has been discussed in detail on social protection, has studied the importance of the programs implemented in this context for women involved in the work life and has the aim of identifying the obstacles to access to the programs and presenting solutions for the removal of these obstacles. The study is an imaginary research and the sources published in the relevant field have been referred. The study found that the problems women faced in their work life were based on gender-based discrimination, the programmes and policies implemented improved the position of women in their work life, but the social gender equality was not entirely achieved and that women’s employment was not at the desired level.
