Abstract:

In recent years, interdisciplinary studies focusing on different disciplines in educational research have been increasingly placed. Special education is also one of the educational disciplines in which this perspective is addressed. Materials used in special training activities include significant dimensions of interdisciplinary connections. The works presented in an event and material design competition that was carried out in the field of special training and included in the catalogues require an assessment in terms of the interdisciplinary relationships mentioned in the cause of the materials used. In the scan of the field, no study was found in which the scientific materials recommended to be used in the relevant competition were studied. Therefore, in this study, the aim is to evaluate the activity and materials concerned. In this study conducted by document analysis from the methods of quality study, the catalogues of the competition concerned were subjected to content analysis in the context of scientific materials. According to the categories achieved as a result of the data analysis, the participants consisting of candidate teachers and teachers in the relevant field have been found that they often use magnetic as a scientific material in their studies, partly included in the elements of the electric circuit. These findings show that participants used the magnetic material of science in their activities that they suggested to be at the center of many different disciplines. With the use of a small number of science materials, the production of different activities constitutes interesting examples of how activities can be developed taking into account the different disciplines of the relevant science materials. Such activities may contribute to the discovery of studies that may be useful and useful in other educational disciplines, along with special training.
