Avrupa’da Fransız (1789-1799) ihtilaliyle birlikte ortaya çıkan milliyetçilik akımı, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nda ideolojik bir söylem olarak Birinci Dünya (1914-1918) ve Balkan Savaşları (1912-1913) sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. Savaşlardan sonra Avrupa ve Balkan ülkelerinde Türkler aleyhine başlatılan kara propaganda doğal olarak Türk toplumunda duygusal bir tepkiye sebep olmuştur. Ömer Seyfettin’in savaş hikâyelerinde daha sonra ideolojik bir akıma dönüşecek olan bu duygusal tepkiyi görmek mümkündür. Ömer Seyfettin, Birinci Dünya ve Balkan Savaşları dönemlerinde cephelerde görev almış ülkücü bir Türk subayıdır. Savaş cephelerinde Türklerin yaşadıkları trajik olaylara yakından tanıklık etmiştir. Türkçü ideolojiye sahip olmasında şahit olduğu olayların önemli etkisi bulunmaktadır. Savaş hatıraları üzerine kurguladığı hikâyelerinde ideal Türk stereotipini önemsemekte ve öncelemektedir. Hikâyelerinde Türkleri küçümseyen, değersizleştiren, horlayan söylemlere karşı cesur, kahraman ve yardımsever Türk stereotipini geliştirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Ömer Seyfettin’in hikâyelerinde geçen Türk stereotiplerinin niteliğini ve hikâyelerde üstlendikleri rolleri belirlemektir. Çalışmada doküman inceleme metodu kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler, yazarın hayatıyla ilişkilendirilerek değerlendirilmiştir.
The nationalism flow that emerged in Europe along with the French conflict (1789-1799) appeared as an ideological speech in the Ottoman Empire as a result of the First World (1914-1918) and the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) . After the wars, the black propaganda against the Turks in Europe and the Balkans has naturally caused an emotional reaction in the Turkish society. It is possible to see this emotional reaction in the war stories of Omer Seyfettin, which will later turn into an ideological stream. Omer Seyfettin is a Turkish officer who served on the fronts during the First World War and the Balkan Wars. He witnessed the tragic events that the Turks experienced on the fronts of the war. There is a significant influence of the events that the Turkish ideology has witnessed. In his stories on war memories he takes attention to the ideal Turkish stereotype and priority. In his stories, he developed a brave, heroic and helpful Turkish stereotype against the talks that deceive, deceive, disgrace the Turks. The aim of this study is to determine the nature of the Turkish stereotypes passing in the stories of Omer Seyfettin and the roles they take in the stories. The method of document examination was used. The data obtained in the study was assessed by relating to the writer's life.

It is possible to see this emotional reaction that will later turn into an ideological trend in the war stories of Ömer Seyfettin. Ömer Seyfettin is an idealistic Turkish officer who served on the fronts during the First World and Balkan Wars. He witnessed the tragedy of the Turks on the war fronts. The events he has witnessed in having a Turkishist ideology have an important effect. In his stories based on memories of war, he cares about and prioritizes the ideal Turkish stereotype. In his stories, he developed a brave, heroic and helpful Turkish stereotype against discourses that belittle, snore and devalue Turks. The aim of this study is to determine the quality of Turkish stereotypes in Ömer Seyfettin's stories and their roles in the stories. Document analysis method was used in the study. The data obtained in the study were evaluated by associating them with the life of the author.
