State should find conciliatory formulas in international and national cooperation, coordination, and solidarity for the solution of problems related to security. Terror and terrorism are threats to security. The experiences of the states that make the counter terrorism with a strategic approach can contain valuable information. For this reason, the UK's experience in the counter terrorism area provides a wide source to World. UK's experience in the counter terrorism area provides a wide source to World. In this study, it is revealed that the United Kingdom aims to develop its national communication, strengthen its international relations, and achieve its national security and economic goals with a holistic approach in areas where its security is threatened within the scope of its national security understanding and Fusion Doctrine. In this context, the Counter Terrorism Strategy of UK that has been implemented to combat the threat of terrorism had been analyzed by considering UK Strategy’s historical development. In addition, this analysis is in the field of combating international terrorism and extremism and it contains the principles of Prevent, Pursue, Protect and Prepare, which are at the centre of the strategy. As a result, in order to establish a counter-terrorism strategy with the aim of harmonizing the fight against national and international terrorism development of comprehensive cooperation with friendly and allied countries, determination of duties and responsibilities among relevant institutions and working in coordination, cooperation with the private sector, targeting the integration of the society while respecting differences, the rule of law, auditability and the necessity of updating according to needs are clarified.
