Sınav kaygısı eğitim hayatının göz ardı edilemez fenomenlerinden birisidir. Sınav kaygısının lise öğrencilerde mi üniversite öğrencilerinde mi daha yüksek olduğunu belirlemek üzere dizayn edilen bu çalışma, Muğla ilindeki 3 lise ve Muğla Sıtkı koçman Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencileri üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcıların 262’si üniversite, 415’i lise öğrencisidir. Araştırmada Westside Sınav Kaygısı envanterinin lise ve üniversite öğrencileri için olan versiyonları kullanılmıştır. Sınav kaygısının lise ve üniversite öğrencileri arasında fark edip etmediğini belirlemek için veri setine t testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan analize göre üniversite öğrencilerinin sınav kaygısı ortalamaları lise öğrencilerinin sınav kaygısı ortalamalarına göre daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Analize ek olarak öğrencilerin yaşının sınav kaygısını yordayıp yordamadığını belirlemek için regresyon analizi yapılmış ve yaşın sınav kaygısını anlamlı olarak yordadığı görülmüştür. Bir başka ifade ile yaş arttıkça sınav kaygısı artmaktadır. Sadece üniversite sınavına hazırlanan öğrencilerin yaşadığı düşünülen sınav kaygısının üniversite öğrencilerinde de yaşandığını göstermesi açısından araştırmanın önemli bir sonuca ışık tuttuğu düşülmektedir.
Test anxiety is one of the indispensable phenomena of education. The aim of this study determines whether test anxiety was higher in high school students or university students. The study was carried out on 3 high school students in Muğla and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Education. 262 of the participants are university students, and 415 of them are high school students. In the study, the Westside Test Anxiety Inventory was used for high school and university students. The t-test was applied to the data set in order to determine whether the test anxiety was different between high school and university students. According to the analysis, the test anxiety of university students was higher than the test anxiety of high school students. In addition to the analysis, a regression analysis was conducted to determine whether the age of the students predicted the test anxiety and it was found that age significantly predicted the test anxiety. In other words, the test anxiety increases with age. It is considered that the study sheds light on a significant result in terms of showing that the test anxiety which is thought to be experienced only by the students preparing for the university exam, is also experienced in university students.
