Purpose: In this study, we aimed at evaluating the levels of depression, anxiety and quality of life in patients with the risk of cardiovascular infarction in patients who use varfarin or new oral anticoagulant (YOAK) for the purpose of profylactic use. Tools and Methods: Our Cutting Study April 2016-August 2016 years between 40-70 years of non-valvular AF si, which is caused by the risk of cardiyoembolic stroke for 6 months, a total of 200 patients using varfarin or YOAK (100 varfarin, 100 YOAK) were included. After a psychiatric interview with all patients with the demographic characteristics of the patients identified in both groups with the aim of identifying psychiatric diagnoses with the social demographic form, the Beck Depression Scale and the Beck Anxiety Scale were applied with the aim of determining the level of depression and anxiety. The World Health Organization (WHO) has adopted the short form of quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) measurement. The findings: In our study, the levels of depression and anxiety in those who use varfarin were higher than those who use YOAK, while the quality of life was lower. As the duration of varfarin is increased, the levels of depression and anxiety are increased, and the quality of life is decreased. The result: According to the varphar of the drugs of the YOAK group, it is associated with lower levels of depression and anxiety as well as patients who take the drugs of the YOAK group can be said to have a higher quality of life.
