It creates. Toponimi is an interdisciplinary field of study in which many disciplines of sciences, such as geography, history, sociology and archaeology, primarily language, are interested. In language, history and geography research, land names science plays a major role in the discovery of local characteristics and geographical units. The town of Tosya, with its geographical characteristics and in the center of Anadolu, has not been opened too much. Thus, the structure of the Turkish language in the town has not been damaged; the Turkish national culture and traditions have been lively lived until today. Because of this importance, Tosya area was chosen as an area of study in terms of land names and intended to contribute to literature. In the study, a lexic-semantic designation of the land names in the geography covering the administrative boundaries of the Kastamonu-Tosya district was first made, then these land names were classified in terms of structure and origin. In the 21 districts of the Kastamonu province, the administrative borders of Tosya, which has the highest population, have a total of 230 place names identified. When the land names identified in the Tosya District are lexic-semantic, it is seen that most of the land names are made up of the names given according to the geographical status. At the end of the study, the factor elements in the data of the classified land names were focused and the percentage divisions were shown in the table.
