Introduction and Goal: Although Brussels is controlled in developed countries, it is an endemic public health problem in our country. Although most people living in endemic areas do not have clinically any symptoms of infection, the serological indicators of brusellosis may be positive. In this case, asymptomatic patients can be transmitted from healthy people through blood transfusion. This study is aimed at investigating the Brucella seroposify in healthy blood donors in our region. Method and Requirements: The study included 4018 healthy blood donors donated to the Van Century University School of Medicine from May 2016 to June 2017. All blood serums have been applied to the Rose Bengal Pleyt Test (RBPT) and the aglutination tests have been confirmed by the Standard Tube Aglutination (STA) test. The serum samples found positive at low vibration (1/40 and 1/80 vibration), considered positive at ≥1/160 vibration in the STA test were tested with the Coombs test. In the Coombs test, it was also considered positive ≥1/160 vibration. A total of 4018 serum samples in the study, 107 (2.7%) were positive according to the RBPT scan results. The STA test, which was applied to positive blood samples, found 13 of them suspicious positive and 13 (0.3%) positive. Three of the 13 serum samples that gave suspicious positive with the STA test gave positive with the Coombs test. Therefore, in all of our studies, the seropositivity ratio was found at RBPT and 2.7% (n=107), 0.3% (n=13) with STA and 0.4% (n=16) with STA+Coombs. The endemic areas, including our country, should be kept in mind that patients with non-clinical findings but positive Brucella serology associated with the active disease, at least at a low risk of blood transfusion-related infection.
