Abstract:

Üniversiteler, ülkelerin beşeri sermaye birikimine katkı sağlayan ve böylelikle diğer ülkelerle rekabet edebilmesine olanak tanıyan önemli kurumlar olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Bununla beraber üniversiteler, bulundukları bölgelere veya kentlere ekonomik yönden avantaj sağlamakta ve o kentlerin veya bölgelerin gelişimine destek olabilmektedir. Özellikle üniversite öğrencilerinin harcamalarının bu kapsamda önem arz ettiği görülmektedir. Çalışmada Amasya Üniversitesi Suluova Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin Suluova ilçesine ekonomik katkılarının araştırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Suluova Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören 124 öğrenciyle yüz yüze anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Suluova Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin aylık ortalama geliri 532,66 TL olarak belirlenmiş ve yine bu öğrencilerin aylık ortalama harcama tutarı 484,23 TL olarak tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda Suluova Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim dönemi boyunca Suluova ilçe ekonomisine 3.800.237,04 TL ‘lik bir katkı sağladıkları ortaya koyulmuştur.

Universities are classified as important institutions that contribute to the country’s human capital accumulation and thus enable them to compete with other countries. However, the universities provide economic advantages to the regions or cities in which they are located and can support the development of those cities or regions. It is important to note that the student’s expenditure in this area is significant. The study aims to investigate the economic contribution of students of the Suluova University's Professional High School to the Suluova district. For this purpose, a face-to-face survey was carried out with 124 students studying at Suluova Professional High School. The average monthly income of Suluova Professional High School students is 532.66 TL and the average monthly spending of these students is 484.23 TL. According to the findings obtained in the study, Suluova Professional High School students have made a contribution of 3,800,237,04 TL to the Suluova district economy during the 2017-2018 educational-educational period.
