Abstract:

Different ideas have been brought about what the palliative care concept is, which types of diseases it covers. When we studied the past processes, the perception of the palliative care concept was depicted of individuals who were generally closely viewed to death and qualified as cancer patients. The ability of individuals to access the services offered in the framework of palliative care is also related to the existence and nature of the units offering quality services, palliative care services. In this regard, the number of beds allocated for palliative care services in hospitals within the Ministry of Health in the province of Kayseri is not sufficient according to many provinces. According to this detection, the current Ministry of Health in the province has been examined using secondary data to assess the current status of the number of beds allocated for palliative care in the hospitals. The study found that the number of beds allocated for palliative care services and the benefits rates of patients were low. This situation supports the possibility that patients have disadvantages in directing to palliative care services.
