Abstract:

In order for a society to maintain its existence as originally, it must ensure its cultural continuity and be able to transfer traditions to future generations. His speeches, from patterns that strengthen and revitalize the narrative in the language with its own structure, system and values, are an important part of the popular culture that reflects the wisdom of the people. As a horse cultural heritage in the daily language, it takes on functions such as creating a way to solve social problems, if it needs to reflect the common mind, reason, humor and spirit of the people. The vocabulary offers an excellent opportunity to know people’s lives and cultures. It appears that people speaking the same language, feeding from the same cultural resources, reflect their perception and understanding of life in the framework of national originality, their history, their art in their speeches. In this study, the study of the Gaziantep speeches included in the books "Gaziantep Mouth I-II-III", which was published by TDK in 1945 by Omer Asım Aksoy and is one of the broadest work done on Gaziantep until today. However, the study is limited to those related to the concept of family. In this context, first, the words that may be related to the family structure have been determined and, again, according to the oral characteristics contained in the respective books, the meaning of the speeches presented in the original speech language and understood and used. When examining the speeches sent to the family, it is clear that the expressions used Gaziantep greatly attributed to the family institution, that the wide and patriarchal family structure was recognized, that it was dependent on the way of life according to its traditions and habits, that it developed strong family and family relationships.
