The aim of this study is to analyze the criticism of the opposition cinema regarding the republican education in the example of the film İki Dil Bir Bavul. In the study, the main motivation of opposition cinema, which is a field of critical social sciences, while making educational films, was to break the spell that education produces with pedagogy and educational sciences and to decipher its politics. In this context, the documentary İki Dil Bir Bavul was worked and analyzed with the help of the concept of field. In the study, content analysis was conducted to determine the strategies behind the fiction of film directors from the opposition cinema school. Content analysis gathered in themes; deprivation and mission of teachers, capitals and benefits, language of education is Turkish but. The directors of the film İki Dil Bir Bavul critically express the mission of republican education, especially the mother tongue, and the fact that education as a right is not realized in the republican education practice, especially because of the mother tongue.
