Abstract:

Energy is one of the indicators of the economic strength of countries. In recent years, as in the world, the reduction of energy dependency in our country is one of the topics of importance. In addition to the efforts to increase the efficiency of existing power plants, the number of new power plants is increasing every day. The energy plants that we work on contain elements that can potentially cause many work accidents and occupational illnesses. The concept of health and safety at work, which is one of the important structures of the work life, has been a topic that has been emphasized in recent years. The objectives of Work Health and Safety work are to raise awareness of work health and safety in employees, protect employees from work accidents and occupational diseases, ensure their work in a healthier environment and operational safety. This study was conducted to measure the level of safety and safety of workers in energy power plants. For this purpose, a half-focused interview with 6 staff providing electric test services in power plants has been conducted and the answers provided have been examined. The result of the work is that employees have not experienced any work accidents at the energy plant until this day, they know the importance of work health and safety, they receive work health and safety services, they don’t know they work in a very dangerous sector, they know the hazards and risks related to the work, they have personal protection equipment, they receive work health and safety training practically, they have been constantly consulting with the workplace doctor but they can’t reach the work safety expert, the pandemic process has a positive impact on work health and safety practices and the increase in the number of ISG training has a positive impact on the work health and safety culture.
