The article grounds the topicality of the study of medical professional communication that is caused by the actual need to give the professional direction to the langustic education of foreign students-medicians. It was acknowledged expedient to distinguish the notions “professional medical language” and “professional medical communication” and the original definition of these concepts was given. It was argued, that linguodidactic interpretation of the professional medical communication is possible on the base of special linguistic description of this linguistic phenomenon. The literature, devoted to the different aspects of linguistic analysis of the professional medical communication, was studied and the ones that can be the ground for linguodidactic research were separated. The structure of professional medical communication was analyzed and its situation-communicative types were determined. The main components of the structure of professional medical communication that are of methodological primary importance for elaboration of didactic means that provide the professionally oriented study of foreign students were revealed. The tasks of linguodidactic description of the professional medical communication that provide the analysis of methodological directions of the study, concrete types of the work, coordination of tasks according to the learning aims were formulated. The aspects of research of methodology of formation of communicative skills in foreign students of medical universities that provide realization of the competence approach were determined, and their role in elaboration of innovative technologies of the study and their introduction in practice of the teaching of professional Ukrainian language as foreign one was elucidated Author Biography Tamara Serhiienko, Bohomolets National Medical University T.
