This study aimed to analyze the management of Imbo Putui Customary Forest and as well as the model for using customary forest that can improve the community’s economy in Kenegerian Petapahan. The Imbo Putui Customary Forest managed by adat law communities based on adat law and local wisdom of society in Kampar Regency. The challenge is that there are still individuals who carry out illegal logging of trees without permission of the tribal chief for commercial purposes. This research is useful theoretically and practically. The type of research is sociological or empirical legal research. The results of the study show that customary forest management is carried out based on adat law in the form of rules, prohibitions, and sanctions such as; take medicinal plants only for daily needs, not selling wood commercially, maintaining etiquette in words and actions while in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest. People who break the rules will be penalized. The model for using Imbo Putui customary forest that can improve the community's economy, such as making the customary forest a center of study, developing natural tourism, and cultivating kelulut bees. In addition, the community need to expand cooperation networks with the government and non-governmental, also promote customary forests both domestic and foreign.
