Abstract:

In this research, it is aimed to examine the relationship between organizational trust perceptions of employees in banks operating as "trust institutions" and organizational citizenship behavior. For this purpose, "Relational Screening Model" was used in the research. In data collection, face-to-face survey data collection method was chosen from the quantitative research data collection methods. The study group of this research consists of a total of 435 people working in the branches of public banks Vakıfbank and Ziraat Bank and private banks Akbank and Garanti Bank in Istanbul. In this study, simple random sampling method, which is one of the probability-based sampling types, was adopted. According to this research, it is determined that there is a moderate and positive relationship between trust in the manager, trust in the organization, total organizational trust and the perception of organizational citizenship courtesy. Again, according to this study, it is found that there is a high level of positive relationship between trust in the manager, trust in the organization and total organizational trust and organizational citizenship altruism, conscientiousness, civic virtue, sportsmanship and total organizational citizenship perception. Most of the studies in the literature support the view that there is a positive and significant relationship between the level of exhibiting organizational citizenship behavior and the perception of organizational trust.
