Abstract:

The aim of this study is to reveal the increment and growth relationship in even-aged, pure, non-intervened, sprout originated stands up to 20 years old, spreading in the Marmara Region of Türkiye. In this context, 26 temporary sample field data of stands between 11 and 20 years of age with different habitats were used to carry out the study. Stand volume and volume components of sessile oak were investigated as functions of age, site index and density. In the yield table based on the frequency, the I. site and the non-intervened 20th age stands with a density degree of 1.0 (normal) were determined as follows: the number of trees is 6669/ha, the mean diameter of the stand is 5.33 cm, the mean height of the stand is 5.99 m, the basal area is 17.23 m²/ha, the volume is 46.675 m³/ha, and the current annual volume increment is 4.88 m³/ha. The results of this study, which was arranged for non-intervened stands, will not only provide information about the origin of forests and the past structure and composition of the stands but also help the realization of the purpose establishment of the intervened stands and their transformation into high forest.
