Abstract:

The landscape is defined as all the characteristics of a part of the land. The European Landscape Convention establishes the need for the analysis, planning, management and conservation of natural, semi-natural and cultural landscapes. Chankırı, Ilgaz Region combines its natural forests, conservation areas, historical and cultural assets with a wide variety of natural and cultural landscapes and types. On the scale of the Devrez submarine, the method of hierarchical aggregation analysis used the landscape character areas and types were identified and the importance of these areas in landscape planning was assessed and recommendations for the use of the area were made. Landscape planning and management studies on a regional scale should be integrated with landscape character analysis studies at the pool level, with an integrated perspective. The Ilgaz Region landscape character areas carry characters that will contribute to the management and conservation of the region's landscapes with rare geographical characteristics.
