Abstract:

This study was planned to investigate the relationship between childhood trauma and feelings of guilt-shame and self-esteem in Karabuk University students. The research was carried out with 400 students in Karabuk University. The data were obtained by means of the Childhood Trauma Scale (CTQ-28), guilt and shame feelings scale (SUTÖ), coopersmıth self-esteem scale and the scores were analyzed by using the Statistical package program. As the self-esteem scale score increased, the child trauma scale and childhood delinquency scale subscales decreased. On the other hand, it was observed that there was a statistically significant and positive relationship between all childhood trauma scale sub-dimensions and Child hood delinquency scale (p <.001).
