DİJİTAL EBEVEYNLİK FARKINDALIK ÖLÇEĞİNİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, keşfedici sıralı desen modeline göre dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığının boyutlarını belirlemek ve anne babaların dijital ebeveynlik farkındalık düzeyine ilişkin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. İlk basamakta nitel görüşmelerin içerik analizi ile dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığının boyutları belirlenmiştir. İkinci aşamada, anne-babaların dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığını belirleyen bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Nitel bulgulara göre dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığının beş boyutlu olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Nitel çalışma sonuçları ve alan yazı incelenerek bir madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Sonraki aşamada geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizleri yapılan ve ebeveynlerin dijital farkındalığını ölçmeyi amaçlayan bir ölçek geliştirilmiştir. Ölçek geliştirme aşamasında ölçeğin yapı geçerliği için ilkokula giden çocuğa sahip 461 ebeveyn üzerinden açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılmıştır. Farklı 291 ebeveyn üzerinden doğrulayıcı faktör analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirliğine ilişkin iç tutarlılık katsayıları, test yarılama analizi, madde analizleri ve son olarak ölçüt geçerliği bulguları elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda, geçerlik ve güvenirliği test edilmiş, , dört boyutlu ve 16 maddelik bir “Dijital Ebeveynlik Farkındalık Ölçeği” geliştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre Dijital Ebeveynlik Farkındalık Ölçeği’nin alt boyutları ile nitel bulguları karşılaştırıldığında elde edilen bulguların birbirini desteklediği görülmektedir. Nitel bulguların alt temaları verimli kullanım, risklerden koruma, model olma, dijital ihmal ve yeniliklere açık olma şeklindedir. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarının da verimli kullanım, risklerden koruma, model olma ve dijital ihmal şeklinde olduğu görülmektedir. Ölçek de yer alan alt boyutlarla ebeveynlerin dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığının belirlenebileceği görülmektedir.

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to determine the dimensions of digital parental awareness according to the detective sequential pattern and to develop a valid and reliable scale on the level of parental awareness of parents. In the first phase, the content analysis of qualitative conversations and the dimensions of digital parental awareness are determined. In the second phase, a scale that determines the digital parental awareness of parents has been developed. According to the quality findings, it is achieved that the digital parental awareness is five-dimensional. A material pool was created by examining the quality work results and field writing. In the next stage, validity and reliability analyses were carried out and a scale was developed to measure the digital awareness of the parents. In the scale development phase, the scale structure validity was analyzed by 461 parents with a child going to primary school for the scale’s building validity. The study was conducted by 291 different parents. Internal consistency ratings for the reliability of the measurement, test half-making analysis, substance analysis and ultimately measurement validity findings have been obtained. At the end of the study, validity and reliability were tested, a four-dimensional and 16-matter "Digital Parental Awareness Scale" was developed. According to the results of this study, the findings obtained when compared the lower dimensions of the Digital Parental Awareness Scale with the quality findings found to support each other. The sub-themes of quality findings are: efficient use, risk protection, modeling, digital negligence, and being open to innovation. The lower dimensions of the scale are also seen in the form of efficient use, risk protection, modeling and digital neglect. The scale also shows that the low-dimensions that are included in the scale can determine the digital parental awareness of parents.

Firstly, the dimensions of digital parenting awareness were determined by content analysis of qualitative interviews. In the second stage, a scale that determines the digital parenting awareness of parents is developed. Digital parenting awareness is determined to be five-dimensional based on the qualitative findings. A pool of items was created by examining the qualitative study results and the literature. In the next stage, a scale was developed which aims to measure the digital awareness of the parents and whose validity and reliability analyzes are conducted. In the scale development phase; for the construct validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis was performed on 461 parents whose children went to primary school. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed on 291 different parents. Internal consistency coefficients, test-half analysis, item analyzes and criterion validity findings were obtained with regard to the reliability of the scale. At the end of the research, a four-dimensional and 16-item "Digital Parenting Awareness Scale" was developed whose validity and reliability were tested. According to research results, when the sub-dimensions of the Digital Parenting Awareness Scale and its qualitative findings are compared, the findings obtained support each other. Sub-themes of qualitative findings are like efficient usage, protecting from risks, being a role model, digital negligence and being open to innovations. It appears to be that the sub-dimensions of the scale are in the form of efficient usage, protecting from risks, being a role model and digital negligence as likewise these of the qualitative sub-themes. It is inferred that digital parenting awareness of the parents can be determined with the sub-dimensions included in the scale.
