Amaç: Bu araştırma öğrenci ebelerde empatik eğilim ve özgeciliğin incelenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı araştırmanın örneklemini 251 öğrenci ebe oluşturmuştur. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği ve Özgecilik Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin istatiksel değerlendirilmesinde bağımsız örneklem t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Tukey testi ve Pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada öğrenci ebelerin yaş ortalaması 20,47±1,52 olup, toplam Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği puan ortalaması 71,23±7,94, toplam Özgecilik Ölçeği puan ortalaması 68,42±9,88 olarak saptanmıştır. Toplam Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği puan ortalaması ile toplam Özgecilik Ölçeği puan ortalaması arasında pozitif yönlü istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki vardır (r=0,335; p<0,001). Öğrenci ebelerin öğrenim gördüğü sınıf, mesleği kendisine uygun bulma ve hastaları anlayabilme becerisine göre toplam Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında, öğrenimi sırasında yaşadığı yere, mesleği kendisine uygun bulma ve hastaları anlayabilme becerisine göre Özgecilik Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark vardır (p<0,05). Sonuç: Öğrenci ebelerin empatik eğilim ve özgecilik düzeyleri ortalamanın üzerindedir. Öğrencilerin empatik eğilimleri arttıkça özgecilik düzeyleri de artmaktadır. Mesleği kendisine çok uygun bulan ve hastaları “her zaman” anlayabildiğini belirten öğrenci ebelerin empatik eğilim ve özgecilik düzeyleri daha yüksektir. Mezuniyet aşamasında olan öğrenci ebelere özgecilik ve empatik eğilim becerilerine yönelik seminer, kurs gibi destekleyici aktivitelerin yapılması önerilmektedir.
Purpose: This research was conducted with the aim of studying empathic tendencies and personality in the student age. Tools and Methods: A sample of the Identifying Research was created by 251 students. The data is collected by the Personal Information Form, the Empatic Trend Scale and the Individuality Scale. Statistical assessment of data used independent sample t test, one-way variance analysis, Tukey test and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: In the study, the average age of student adulthood is 20.47±1,52 and the total Empatic Trend Scale score average is 71.23±7.94, the total Individuality Scale score average is 68.42±9.88. There is a statistically meaningful relationship between the average score of the total Empatic Trend Scale and the average score of the total Specificity Scale (r=0,335; p<0,001). There is a statistically meaningful difference between the average scores of the class in which the students are studying, the ability to find the profession suitable for themselves and to understand the patients, the average scores of the Empatic Tendence Score, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves and the ability to understand the patients, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves, the average scores of the person suitable for themselves, and the average scores of the person suitable for themselves. The result: the level of empathic tendency and personality of the student age is above the average. As the student’s empathic tendencies increase, the level of selfishness also increases. The degree of empathic tendency and personality of students who find the profession very suitable for him and indicate that he can understand the patients "all" is higher. Students at the graduation stage are advised to conduct supporting activities such as seminars, courses and empathic tendency skills.
