The effects of drugs/substances on traffic accidents have been shown in many publications. In the last decade, many developments have occurred in connection with the substance tests that can be applied on the road. It focuses on rapid, reliable and easy-to-apply road tests for the detection of the driver under the influence of the substance that is misused, alternative matrix such as sweat, urine and sputum. The European Union’s ROSITA project (Road Side Testing Assessment) has shown that many illegal substances with high prevalence of cannabinoids, opiates, amfetamines and derivatives are found in different biological matrix. This project was carried out with the cooperation of the University of Ege and the İzmir Security Directorate and the contribution of the Cozart company. The purpose of this project is to identify the problems that the police may face alongside the usability and applicability of the test on this path. In this study, 25 drivers randomly selected at traffic control points were applied the Cozart Bioscience Ra-piscan 5 spray panel test (cannabinoids, amfetamines, cocains, opiates and benzodiazepines) for the analysis of the substances that were misused in sperm in the respiratory air. The participants participated in the work by signing a voluntary approval form. The verification was done with GC-MS; the oral liquid was found at MDA 65 ng/mL and MDMA 180 ng/mL.
