This study was conducted for the first time with the aim of determining the levels of anxiety in patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatment. Method and Requirements: The research was carried out between May 2018 and February 2020 at the hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit in a city hospital. The sample of the study, which was of a characteristic type, was made by 76 patients who were first treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. To evaluate the subjective parameters of patients in the hyperbaric oxygen treatment process; Visual Comparison Scale and State-Continuous Anxiety Reserve were used. The objective measurements evaluated in the process of hyperbaric oxygen treatment were recorded in the form of physiological parameters. The study data was evaluated using the SPSS 22.0 statistical package program. Results: The study found that when patients arrived at the clinic, the level of anxiety and the visual comparison scale scores were high, decreased immediately before and after treatment. The patient's constant anxiety levels were estimated at 77.22±7.82. Repeated measurements showed an increase in the average levels of oxygen saturation in patients and a decrease in the average respiratory number (p<0.05). Subjective (sustainability-continuous anxiety and visual comparison measurement) and objective ( breathing speed) measurement results in this study show that the high levels of anxiety when patients first under hyperbaric oxygen therapy arrive at the clinic tend to decline after treatment. The results justify the taking of anxiety measures in patients to be treated with hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
