Günümüzün değişken ekonomik şartları, işletmeleri sürekli olarak mali performanslarını arttırma yönünde bir değişim içinde olmaya itmektedir. Özellikle Ulaştırma sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmeler dünyanın bir ucundaki bir ülkeden, diğer bir ucundaki ülkeye taşımacılık yaparak uluslararası boyutta hizmet vermektedirler. Bu nedenle her türlü uluslararası ekonomik ve politik krizden kolayca etkilenmektedirler. Ulusal ve uluslararası krizlerden kaçınmak mümkün olmamakla birlikte etkilerinin çabuk atlatılarak karlılığın elde edilmesi etkin bir yönetimle mümkün olmaktadır. Bunun için finansal performansın sağlam olması, iyi yönetilmesi ve finansal göstergelerin yakından takip edilmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışmamızda BIST-Ulaştırma endeksinde yer alan işletmelerin mali performanslarının ölçülmesi amacıyla ulaştırma sektöründe yer alan yedi firmanın 2010-2013 yıllarına ait dört yıllık mali tabloları esas alınmıştır. Analiz iki bölümde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Birinci bölümde mali yapı performansını değerlendirmeye yönelik olarak likidite, mali yapı, faaliyet ve karlılık oranlarından toplam 18 adet oran hesaplanmıştır. Bu verilerle oluşturulan tablolar ve grafikler incelenmiştir. İkinci bölümde yine aynı oranlar kullanılarak her yıl için TOPSIS yöntemine göre performans ölçümü yapılarak işletmeler arasında başarı yönünden bir sıralama yapılmıştır. Elde edilen sonucun, oran analizi yöntemi sonucunda yapılan yorumlarla da tutarlı olduğu görülmektedir
