Abstract:

It is considered to be extremely important that teachers candidates who will be the teachers of the future have the communication skills and that they can use this skills in their classes. Therefore, it is important that the candidates gain and use this skill in the candidacy process in which they practice. From here, the current research aims to identify and study the situations in which science teachers candidates use their communication skills. The research conducted by the visual research method was attended by a third-class 28 science teachers candidates who studied at a state university. As a data collection tool, discussions consisting of semi-configured questions have been used. Questions of science have been developed by taking into account the indicators of the development of communication skills for teachers candidates. The data is subject to content analysis. The data obtained shows that the majority of the indicators of the communication skills of the science teachers candidates are partly using at the desired level. Therefore, experimental studies aimed at improving the communication skills of the candidates for subsequent research are recommended.
