Özet Günümüzde boş zaman etkinliklerine katılma isteği ve önemi her geçen gün artmaktadır. Günümüzde boş zamanı değerlendirme bir yaşam biçimi halini almıştır. Bu sebeple; boş zaman faaliyetlerinin artması ve bu zamanın değerlendirme çeşitliliğinin genişlemesi ile birlikte genç nesile bu alışkanlığın kazandırılması önem arz etmektedir. Boş zaman etkinlikleri psikolojik, sosyal ve fiziksel olarak bireye destek sağlamaktadır. Boş zamanı değerlendirme etkinliklerinin küçük yaşlardan itibaren başlaması bu alışkanlığın devam ettirilmesinin önemli olduğu belirtilmektedir. Bu çalışma çocuk hikâye kitaplarında boş zaman ve oyun temalarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Elazığ ilinde halk kütüphanesinde ve bazı ilköğretim okullarında ki kitaplıklarda bulunan çocuk hikâye kitapları taranmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, ilköğretim çocukları için yazılan çocuk kitaplarıdır. Örneklemini ise bu eserler arasından seçilen toplam 100 kitap oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada belgesel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Belgesel tarama şu aşamalardan oluşmakta: istenen amaca yönelik olarak kaynakları bulma, okuma, not alma ve değerlendirme işlemlerini kapsamaktadır. İncelenen eserlerde boş zaman teması olarak en yüksek oranlarda kitap okumak, hayvan sevgisi, doğa yürüyüşü-gezi, ava gitmek, tabiat sevgisi- tabiatta gezmek, yardımlaşma ve sosyal ilişkiler, arkadaşlık ilişkileri, müzik aleti çalma ve şarkı söyleme, resim yapmak gibi etkinliklere yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir. İncelenen eserlerde oyun teması olarak ta saklambaç, oyuncaklarla oynama, salıncak, hayvanlarla oyun oynamak, parkta oyun oynamak, futbol, seksek oynamak, evcilik, bilgisayar oyunu oynama, beş taş oyunu, kör ebe oyunlarına yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir. Çocuklar için hazırlanan kitaplarda boş zaman aktivitesi olarak ele alınan aktivitelerde çeşitlilik fazla görülse de, çocuk oyunlarına düşük oranlarda yer verildiği tespit edilmiştir.
The summary Today, the desire and importance to participate in the vacation activities is increasing every day. Today, free time has become a way of life. Therefore, with the increase in vacation activities and the expansion of the diversity of evaluation of this time, it is important to give this habit to the young generation. Free-time activities provide support to the individual psychologically, socially and physically. It is important that the vacancy evaluation activities begin from young age to continue this habit. This study was done with the aim of determining the theme of free time and play in children's stories books. In the study, children's stories were scaned in the public library and in some primary school libraries. The universe of research is children's books written for primary school children. The collection includes a total of 100 books from these works. In the study, a documentary scan method was used. Documentary scanning consists of the following stages: it covers the processes of finding, reading, recording and assessing resources for the desired purpose. In the works reviewed, the highest rates of activities such as reading books, love for animals, nature walk-to-go, go to the hole, love for nature-to-go in nature, help and social relationships, friendship relationships, playing music instruments and singing, painting were found. In the reviewed works, the theme of the game is to hide, play with toys, scratch, play with animals, play in the park, football, sex play, household, computer game play, five stone games, blind parent games. Although the diversity of activities that are treated as leisure activities in books prepared for children is overlooked, children’s games are found to be included in low rates.
Abstract The desire and importance to join in leisure time activities increase day by day. Today, leisure time has become a way of life. Therefore; with the increase of leisure activities and the widening of the diversity of these activities, it becomes important to gain this habit to the younger generation. Leisure time activities help people in terms of psychologically, socially and physically. It is stated that the start of leisure time activities from an early age is important in maintaining this habit. This study was carried out to identify “leisure time and play” themes in children's story books. In the study, children's story books in the Public Library of Elazığ province and in the libraries of some primary schools were scanned. The universe of the research is children's books written for primary school children. The sample of the research consists of 100 books selected from these works. The documentary scanning method was used in the research. Documentary scanning consists of the following stages: it consists of the processes of finding resources for the intended purpose, reading them, taking notes and evaluating them. In the studied works, activities such as reading, love of animals, trekking/sightseeing, go hunting, love of nature/ traveling in nature, solidarity and social relations, friendship relations, playing musical instruments and singing and painting have been identified at the highest rates as the leisure time theme. It has been determined that hide and seek, playing with toys, swinging, playing games with animals, playing in the park, playing football, playing hopscotch, playing house, playing computer games, playing jacks, playing blind man’s bluff in the studied works for the play theme. Although there is a large variety of activities that are considered as leisure time activities in the books prepared for children, it is determined that children's games are included in low rates.
