Abstract:

Ludwig Wittgenstein’s thoughts on language, truth and meaning are treated as the first and second period. Wittgenstein, in his first era, suggested that language and thought painted the world. Truth and meaning arise in the context of the theory of the picture. By leaving this thought in the second period, he adopted a pragmatic approach and turned towards the social dimension of the language. The main purpose of this article is to reveal Wittgenstein's ideas about the theory and meaning of the first period and to stand on the issues that these thoughts contain. In this context, the philosopher, in the framework of the work of Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, in which the first philosopher developed his thoughts, will examine in detail the views on language, accuracy and meaning, identify the problems contained in these views, and discuss the possible solutions to these issues.
