Abstract:

The cities that have come to sustainable floating have caused the urban inhabitants to be physiologically and psychologically negative, and the search for solutions to this issue has begun to be discussed by theorists and scientists. Although solutions brought with a sustainable city vision are often open to debate, the idea of ecotopy that is consistent with nature and strives to establish the balance between nature and man is an important idea for interest in the subject. Therefore, it is important for young architect candidates to be educated, to be able to rebell the current situation and to design their dreams in accordance with their criticisms to solve their current problems. This study, in the city of Yenice, which can be described as a sustainable city, includes the ecotopic projects that architecture students produce against these problems. The achieved projects were evaluated in the context of the design and sustainability principles, and these principles also provided the idea of ecotopy to be re-produced in a creative way and implementable on a realistic basis. The different perspectives and approaches produced by architecture students against problem solving have not only improved their creative aspects but also changed their awareness of current problems.
