Safvetî Dervish Lodge was builded by Musâ Safvetî Pasha in 1845 according to Asar-ı Ziver Paşa Divan ve Münşeat. Safvetî Dervish Lodge is one of four important Halidî Lodges in İstanbul. Halidî Tarikat was founded by Mevlâna Halid Bağdadî in 19th century as a branch of Nakşibendiye. Halidî dervish generally hit it off with Ottoman administrative and supported Panislamist politics of Sultan Abdülhamid II. This lodge is in a complex of buildings which included a main building and masjid and sheikh’s residence (meşruta) as in many other instances. Originally, There were furthermore structeres as bath, library, kitchen, barn, abdesthane etc. in Safvetî Lodge according to foundation document (vakfi ye). The buildings in complex are used with diff erent functions as primary school, storage and shop. Therefore, some buildings losed original architecturel features and even some of the structures in complex are demolished.
