Abstract:

The Covid-19 epidemic, which has affected the whole world, has become a global economic crisis, profoundly affecting human relations and global trade. Due to the high rate of pollution, the countries have implemented many restrictions and quarantine measures. However, these measures resulted in a breakdown in the market balance and caused supply and demand shocks to occur simultaneously. Over the course of the quarantine period, internet shopping has increased and many companies that have failed to digitalize have been forced to bankrupt. This has caused many countries to go into stagnation and has caused risks such as dismissal and free leave. It has also caused many countries to decline by decreasing their growth rates. The study used data from Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Central America and the Middle East to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the economy and the data was taken from the IMF. To see the effects of the infection more clearly, the study was based on the pre-epidemial period (2019) and the epidemic period (2020) and included statistical methods using a combined t-test and wilcoxon test.
