Geleceğin çalışanları olarak üniversite öğrencileri, organizasyonel ortamlarda inovasyonun önemli bir kaynağıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kocaeli Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyinin “Bireysel Yenilik Ölçeği” kapsamında belirlenmesidir. Veri toplama aracı olarak 1977 yılında H. Thomas Hurt, Katherine Joseph ve Chester. D. Cook tarafından geliştirilen, 2010 yılında Türkçeye uyarlamasını geçerliği ve güvenirliği Kılıçer ve Odabaşı’nın yaptığı “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 20 ifadeden oluşan ölçeğin güvenirlik katsayısı 0.873 olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kocaeli Üniversitesi’nde bulunan ve önlisans düzeyinde eğitimlerine devam eden 123 katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlardan biri meslek yüksek okulunda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin cinsiyetleri ile bireysel yenilikçilik ölçeği boyutlarından değişime direnç ve fikir önderliği boyutu arasında erkek öğrenciler lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğunu göstermektedir. Diğer bir sonuca göre öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri bölüm ile değişime direnç ve fikir önderliği boyutları arasında anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir Analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde; öğrencilerin orta düzeyde bireysel yenilikçilik puan ortalamasına sahip oldukları görülmüştür.
As the employees of the future, university students are an important source of innovation in the organizational environments. The aim of this study is to determine the level of individual innovation of Kocaeli University students within the framework of the "Individual Innovation Scale". As a data collection tool in 1977 H. Thomas Hurt, Katherine Joseph and Chester. Developed by D. Cook, the validity and reliability of its adaptation to Turkey in 2010 was used by Kılıçer and Odabaşı's "Individual Innovation Scale". The study found the reliability rate of the scale consisting of 20 expressions as 0.873 . The research work group consists of 123 participants located at Kocaeli University in the 2020-2021 educational year and continuing their training at pre-graduate level. One of the results obtained from the research shows that there is a meaningful difference in the benefit of male students between gender and individual innovation scale dimensions of resistance to change and opinion leadership dimensions. According to another conclusion, a significant difference was found between the department that students studied and the dimensions of change resistance and leadership of ideas when the analysis results were studied; it was found that students had an average level of individual innovation score.
