So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

İnsanlığın tümünü ilgilendiren suçları yargılamak üzere bir uluslararası ceza mahkemesi kurulması düşüncesi 19. yüzyıl sonlarına kadar dayanmaktadır. Yaşanan acı olaylar sonrasında 20. yüzyılda dört ayrı mahkeme kurulmuş ancak bu mahkemeler dünya kamuoyunu tatmin etmekten uzak kalmıştır. Soğuk savaş döneminde ara verilen uluslararası ceza mahkemesi kurma çabaları soğuk savaşın bitmesiyle yeniden hızkazanmış, 1998 yılında Roma Statüsü geniş bir kabulle onaylanmıştır. Bu çalışmada Roma Statüsü'nün daha önce kurulmuş olan Nüremberg, Tokyo, Yugoslavya ve Ruanda uluslararası ceza mahkemelerinin eksik kalan yanlarını tamamlamakta ne derece başarılı olduğu sorusuna cevap aranmaktadır.
